Looking at the NHL standings there is one big surprise team in each division.
Detroit 4th in the Atlantic
Columbus 5th in the Metro
Nashville 3rd in the Central
Anaheim 3rd in the Pacific
Looking at December, for the first week of this month, the team with the worst schedule is Ottawa, the Sens play 5 games in 7 nights Dec.1-7th. This is due to the postponed covid games, so just wait until the NYI has to do the same thing.
The crazy thing is that they rotate home, then road game in these 5 games. H/A/H/A/H
So I can't wait for Dec. 7th when the NYI don't play on Dec. 6th and Ottawa goes to NJ for the makeup game. |

You play 2 units on the Leafs against the Avs, but the Leafs are returning from a 4 game road trip. I know you have that system for a 5 game roadtrip or more, but seems to me like it could be a letdown spot. I don't know if you can look at a return from a 4 game road trip system, but your 5 game is saying you should be playing against the Leafs. I wouldn't feel confident enough for a 2 unit, especially since they are favoured, seems like it's not worth the risk. |

Great question. I weigh different factors. The recent Leaf's road trip was very spread out. They weren't taxed physically due to the time off in between games, they had no back-to-back on the road trip either. Plus they have had 3 days off too. Teams that return home from a roadie and no rest, I will play against. Plus the Leafs are going to use this game as a measuring stick. They have more consistent in goal too which is huge! I could see them having a let down when they hit road again for 2 more. Last week the Hawks were off a 4 game roadie but the games were spread out. They had a slow start against STL but they turned it on as they game went on, and won! I hope this info helps to give you why I played them. Good Luck and thanks for stopping by. |

I hate to say it, never ever bet on this Sens team unless the other team decides to dress half a line up. This team has no structure, no coaching, nothing going for it. Anyways, I feel for you betting on my team. Great work though on as always on your column. Full of info. I got friends that read it daily  |
